This type of center takes both incoming calls and places outbound calls. The term, “blended call center” also refers to the types of contacts being handled. A blended inbound center might handle contacts that include incoming telephone calls along with emails or Web chats.

Likewise a blended outbound center might communicate through outbound calling as well as email or fax communications.
